Installation and activation are different events
Installation adds the eSIM profile to the phone. Activation makes the plan usable on a supported network. Depending on the package, validity may begin during installation or only after the first network connection.
Read the plan-specific rule
Check the activation policy shown with the package before paying. If the plan begins immediately on installation, installing too early can consume part of its validity before the trip.
- Check the stated activation event.
- Confirm the number of valid days.
- Check whether the package has an installation deadline.
Use a reliable setup sequence
Install over stable Wi-Fi, label the new line clearly and keep the QR code private. On arrival, select the travel eSIM for mobile data and follow the supplied roaming and network-selection instructions.
- Do not delete the eSIM after installation.
- Disable data roaming on the home line.
- Keep essential instructions available offline.
If the eSIM does not connect
Restart the phone, verify the selected data line and check whether data roaming is required for that plan. If service still does not start, contact support before deleting or reinstalling the profile.
