Start with the exact country list

A plan described as European does not automatically cover every country or territory. Compare the plan coverage with your full itinerary, including airport connections and day trips.

  • Check every destination by name.
  • Confirm validity covers the entire trip.
  • Choose enough data for your trip; top-ups are not currently available.

Let the eSIM change partner networks

Regional eSIMs can connect to different supported networks as you cross borders. Leave network selection on automatic unless the installation instructions tell you otherwise. A short reconnection delay after crossing a border can be normal.

Plan data around your travel style

Navigation, messaging and bookings are usually modest. Remote work, high-resolution uploads and hotspot use need a larger allowance. Download tickets and maps in advance so essential information remains available if coverage changes.

  • Use hotel Wi-Fi for operating-system updates.
  • Disable cloud backups on mobile data.
  • Check usage before long travel days.

Keep the home SIM from roaming

Your normal number can remain available for authentication texts, but the home line should not be allowed to use roaming data. Verify the selected mobile-data line after every border crossing or device restart.
